Has anyone experienced governor problems on a L185D (or similar) ?
The throttle control would , intermittently, not let the engine go to full rpm (2850)
and now will only idle. The throttle linkage is good and moves the arm on the
governor shaft and the engine stays at idle. Is it possible that the governor spring
is bad ? It appears that removing the governor assembly is a major job including
removing the front axle assembly.
Any thoughts are welcome
