John Deere 550 tiller HP requirement
Does a Kubota BX24 have enough HP to drive a John deere 550 tiller? There is one nearby for sale that looks in good condition. Thanks in advance for any info you can offer.

Re: John Deere 550 tiller HP requirement
I'm not sure how wide the 550 is, but from photos I found on another site it looks like roughly 48". If that is the case, you shouldn't need more than 10-12 PTO HP. I run a 48" King Kutter behind my BX1500 and it handles it beautifully at 1/4 to 1/2 thottle.
If you're gonna do it, do it right!
