Carry-All total weight for BX2360
I'm looking at options for carrying around the yard ; carry-alls and
boxes. Empty weight is around 200lb for this stuff . What do you reckon
I could load this up to ,on a 1650lb BX2360 with MMM and no front weights ?BX2360 54"MMM

Re: Carry-All total weight for BX2360
Using a Carry-All is like using a FEL with out a weight box on the rear. I have used the forks with up to 750lbs with out front weight and more with the FEL on. You'll have to do some testing to see when you have to much and a need for front end weight. Be careful when doing this.

Re: Carry-All total weight for BX2360
750lb minus the 200lb of the add-on is well more than I'd
probably load . I was thinking 300lb of compost/water for planting
around the place. Your 3 rail-sleepers looks enough of a comparison
for me .
There's no water down the front , unless I pump
out of a pond ( don't have a pump since there's no fire hazard up
here ) so need to water new plantings for 6 months until the summer
wet begins in January. Doing a tree lined drive .BX2360 54"MMM

Without a FEL on the machine I'd be cautious to carry too much weight going up that driveway. If you get too @$$ end heavy you will lift the front tires off the ground and loose steering. (Keep the carry-all as low as you can and it'll at least act as a wheelie bar.

Re: Carry-All total weight for BX2360
I use a carry-all to haul a pallet that has been converted to a portable spraying setup. Carry-all + pallet + car battery + 15 gal filled sprayer + assorted stuff = about 300 lbs.
BX does just fine with this, even without the FEL mounted. If you have the FEL installed, you could certainly go up another couple of hundred lbs.

I can't help with the weight question but I just had to comment on your place (if that is in fact your place in the pics).
It is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!

Re: Carry-All total weight for BX2360
Technically the BX 3 pt hitch can lift 1210 lbs only. However I have lifted alot more then that before. I am pretty sure it can lift a ton, but the issue is the leverage. a carryall will act like a fulcrum on back tires lifting front off the ground. Without a FEL and a bucket of materail for ballast, its gonna be a bouncy ride on a hill with a certain pucker factor. There seems to be no factory ready front weights for the BX, you would need to make your own if you dont have a FEL if you really want a carry all.
I am not sure where you got the weight numbers from, 1650lbs? Are you referring to towing weight? or direct weight on the BX 3pt ?

The 1650lb is my machine weight , and although that is mostly
over the rear tyres , there must be over 700lb in front of those
wheels . What do you think ?
This tipping transport box looks interesting ;
