B3200 Vibration Tips and other assorted things
I know a lot has been said here about vibration on the B3200 but it is not so much the vibration that bothers me but rather the rattles it makes. Here is what i have done to tame them. Since I always leave the box scrape on the first one I solved was was the very loud top link clip. There are several ways to do this but this is the one I currently have.
Besides I alway have a spare strap if I need it.
Another very annoying is that black plastic cover on right hand side. It is loose but I could not get it off with out breaking it. I just pried up the front and back and slipped a old O-ring under it. I'll eventually get some black silicone and run a bead around it.
Last but not least, the attach pins on the loader. The short rod that goes through it can make a huge amount of noise. I greased up a short piece flexible plastic tubing and it took care of in nicely.
Another very annoying thing I found was the continually tightening seat belt. This solution was suggested to me by a fellow TBNer. It makes it usable.
In my never ending quest to make attaching implements easier I have taken several iterations to get where I am satisfied. Of course I have some more plans in this regard. First was getting something to hold my swing arms apart.
A simple bungee cord did the trick. I eventually converted to tie rubber straps for a couple of reasons which I will show later. This pick shows the place where the straps attach to. There are 4 bolt holes in the axle housing that I presume is for the backhoe sub frame. They come in handy. I am considering getting a piece of steel plate and using both back holes and one of the front ones and extending back and down just a little to so I can attach a short top link from it to the swing arm. In other words, no chains needed.
These next 2 images show a quick attach piece I purchased and why I went to 2 straps on each side. The two straps allow me to keep the quick attach square on the swing arms.
This one shows it it all hooked up. If you look close you will see a screw clamp. With the box scrape I don't use it but with the bush hog I tighten it down over the lever that lets you detach the implement.
