Rear PTO switch on L3010 failure
Greetings all,
I have an L3010 with a rear PTO switch that no longer functions. That is to say that the rear PTO is engaged constantly without regard to the switch position. If the clutch is depressed the rear PTO then stops.
Might anyone know what is amiss and what service is required? It's a little disconcerting having a rotary cutter spinning all the time the engine is running not to mention a safety issue.
Thanks in advance,
J. Peters

Not quite enough info but your brake on the PTO might be failing.

Re: Rear PTO switch on L3010 failure
By swithch I am assuming you mean the PTO engagement lever (at least my L3010 has the lever) anyway this has happened to me. the lever uses a cable to engage / disengage the PTO, I had some slack in the cable do to streching in the cable, it was a simple matter of adjusting the cable. Don't adjust to much or you will run into a problem of not being able to start the tractor because you are not in contact with the PTO safety switch ( speaking from expereince here) easy fix unless i am missing something here

Thanks, I'll inspect the cable and see if that's the issue.

Indeed the cable was the problem. Issue resolved.
Thanks for the help.
