Tractor
Kubota L4610D HST
My tractor is about 12 yrs old and it has been a good tractor, but it developed a severe hydaulic leak that appears to be coming from the propellor shaft. I was looking at a parts list for this shaft and it looks like there are several seals and O rings associated with it. Has anyone else had this problem. How hard is it to repair. And do you have any tips that might make the job easier. I am in a bind with this tractor out of commision but I can't afford to take it to the shop, so any help is very much appreciated. Thanks for the help in advance.

Theres a couple of threads on here about some early grand L's with a junk seal, they have a better seal available from Kubota. I think I read of some people installing 2 seals stacked too.

If I recall it wasn't too bad of a repair but there were a few tricks, I can't remember if a gear drops down inside when you pull the shaft out or what. Trying searching a bit, I'll see if I can find it.

There are places online that sell them but I doubt they are fully legal copies.
