First i just want to say that I know absolutly nothing about electrical. Being color blind I try to avoid electrical work.

I am wanting to install 3 lights on my B2320. 2 forward and one backward. I know how to hook them up and run the wires but my question is am i trying to pull too much power? These will mainly be used this winter while plowing snow so the 3 lights, factory headlights, and at times flashers may be on at the same time.

single rear light.
Blazer Rear Mount Tractor Trapezoid Light - 0283941 | Tractor Supply Company

double front lights.
Blazer Multi Purpose Trapezoid Tractor Light - 0283917 | Tractor Supply Company

Also do I want the trapezoid or flood? The front two lights will be mounted high on the rops and the rear will probably be mounted low on the rops.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Not sure on the exact limit on current draw, but I've read it doesn't take many incandescent lamps to cross the line.

Just posting to let you know that are affordable LED utility light out there.

I really like those but the reviews don't sound good at all. Do you have them? If so would you recommend them? Everything else LED I found is out of my budget for this year.

the grote lights are great looking I know some other user have used them. I will have to work more OT before I buy them though I think they are close to 100.00 per.

55w/12v = 4.6 Amps each. Will your dynamo or ,less likely alternator, handle the load? Yes, but you may want to use front and rear independently.

As to the color blind issue, you might pick patterned wires, solid for hot and spiral striped for ground, for example Just a thought.

Like you, I know nothing about electrical either but wanted work lights. I had to bury a horse in the middle of the night without work lights so I purchased these Quick-On Work Light Kit the next day. I only ordered two but you can order three and Harry will wire them all together for you. They may be pricey but they work great and very easy to put on and take off. I took mine off today in about 30 seconds while working my brush cutter in the woods.

The first picture shows where to make the electrical connection to your existing wires on your tractor. It will just to the left of your PTO. The third picture shows the on/off toggle that can be mounted in various places and the fourth picture shows how the lights are mounted to the ROPS without any scratches.

Without the 40 amp high capacity alternator upgrade, I would be careful running more than 2 lights at a time. I don't remember the stock alternator output but it is really wimpy. I put 4 lights on my ROPS.....2 forward, 1 reverse and a strobe. I never run the headlights as they are poor at best. I only run the 2 new lights I installed. If I need the backup light for more than a few minutes, I will turn off the front facing lights.

I put 3 toggle switches in the little plastic thingie on the right fender behind the 4X4 and 3 pt levers. I also installed indicator lights on the thingie as well.

Great for blowing snow in the winter. Since it doesn't get dark til after 10 in the summer, I seldom need them.

Good Luck
Mike

The stock alternator output is 14amps max. i would recomend option alternator 40 amps output, also the headlight bulbs can be replaced with halongen bulbs (they just plug in)
