L4850, BF900
Hi, looking at a '92 L4850, will this loader from my '91 L4150 fit it? Also how about my Laurin Cab? Bodies look similar, but the other tractor is quite a distance from me so I can't visit personally right now. Any thoughts? Thanks!

How about this, which loaders are generally on the L4850?

Re: L4850, BF900
I believe it is the LA1150 loader.
Working to increase the scope of the small tractor experience, one quick attach at a time.

Re: L4850, BF900
Yes, the L4850's normal loader was the LA1150 - but a BF900 will fit and work fine. The Laurin cab will fit too.
Also, the ROPS from the L4850 will fit the L4150. The Laurin's axle-to-fender ROPS supports may be the heavier type - if so they can be swapped to stay with the cab.L345, L3250, L48, L5450, never enough attachments

Re: L4850, BF900
Thanks much, it might be a good swap, the L4850 is low hrs and the floor boards and fenders look mint, give me a change to rehab the old 4150, which works great but is very rusty. Thanks again for the info.

Re: L4850, BF900
One nice difference you'll notice is the L4850's Ever Clutch - which doubles as the Hydraulic Shuttle. The valving was improved to be more gradual. It gives soft shifts even with engine rpm well above idle. Swapping over a cab and loader takes some wrenching - but it's quite possible to do. The Laurin is heavy to handle - weight is less without the doors and hinged windows.
On my rig the loader valve extended thru the front of the Laurin, making the loader non-removable. I re-mounted the valve to the cab with disconnects so now the loader comes off easy - and the valve can be used for the snowblower.
If you're anything like me you'll want to keep both tractors. I had an open-station L5450 that I sold - but I've missed it. I like the cab for everything except backhoe work - the open station is handier. Take care, Dick BL345, L3250, L48, L5450, never enough attachments
