For right now it would take too long to explain the tier 3 and 4 pollution
regulations for diesel and gas engines.

All or most all of the small diesel lawnmowers
get around this by advancing the fuel pump
timing slightly to reduce the emmisions at
the tail pipe.

As a result of the fuel injection pump timing
change to get around the new E.P.A., regualtions
the emmisions fall below the new limits.

The amount of vibration is increased signifigantly and
the Kubota Band Aid approach has been to add
platform isolators and heavy rubber mattting to
"solve the issue" as they are of the opinion their
is no VIBRATION problem period. There are many
posts on the forum here regarding the supposed
non existant vibration problem on all the smaller
Kubota Tractors.

They apparently have no desire to return the
timing to the proper position and install a
catalytic muffler instead of "their fix"

They fail to realise how many freinds they
would have if they did the above as no one
else has for thier machines.

if they installed a catalytic muffler the only
emmisions would be carbon dioxide and
water vapor.

It is not hard to change and ****** the timing
back to the original setting with a shop manual
for this engine.

It will not have an egr valve. Just fuel pump timing, in cylinder combustion solution (injection spray pattern), and closed crankcase ventalation. The engine is technically Tier 4 Interim. No reason to worry about these details. Philip.
