Welcome, Crawfish, to TBN. I put a hood rack on mine then put a gun rack on the hood rack. Two separate clamp on Y gun holders which fit across the hood rack. This makes a good place to put a pole saw, or other long tool such as a spade, as well as carry a rifle. Putting stuff along the side inhibits people entry. Putting long stuff across the vehicle is a problem only when going thru a narrow area/gate.
