Hello out there,
This summer my 900 became hard to start then just flat out won't! Realized that the fuel was years old and disconnected the fuel filter to drain the tank. Refilled with fresh fuel but still no start. Disconnected the fuel filter from the tank and ran the starter-no fuel being pushed through the filter. The fuel will drain out slowly through the filter with gravity doing the chore.
While cranking should the fuel be pumping out of through the disconnected fuel filter? Is there a fuel pump somewhere or is the injector the fuel pump?
Thanks for any tips on this.

Yes, there is a fuel pump and yes you have to bleed the fuel injector lines when you disconnect the fuel filter and allow air into the system..........do a search for bleeding the injectors. It's a simple task and several videos are available when you do a search.........God bless.........Dennis

Thanks for the quick reply Dennis. Since there is a fuel pump and no fuel is coming through the disconnected filter when the starter is engaged it sounds like the pump is bad. Is the pump in the tank?
