Today I was trenching and digging a hole for a 500 gallon propane tank, with my l45, for a client. We were trenching for like twenty mins when the pink hydraulic line which I believe is the boom sprung a leak. I really don't feel like calling the dealer for a big bill for something that looks to be so simple. The only thing that looks difficult is the line is in a boot that looks like it runs up inside the stick of the hoe. It just looks like a pita to get the hose back up or down the shaft of the boom.

Tie a rope to the hydraulic line and pull the rope through the boom when you remove the line.
Leave the rope in the boom.
When you get the new line made up just pull it threw the boom with the rope.

If possible, stretch the boom and dipper out so that the boot doesn't have the sharp bend to it. It will make pulling the hose through a lot eaiser.
