What are the differences, if any, between the FEL on a BX25D and the FEL on a BX25 or BX24? Not including the QA. Any design, structural or metal size differences? Cylinder size?

TIA

I looked at a D on the dealer's lot and saw no difference compared to my 25 to the naked eye.

Some say the front axle on the D is stronger, but I havent confirmed that myself

I would think a stronger front axle is pointless for the BX unless they upped the lift capacity of the loader. Has anyone seen the specs yet?

I believe someone mentioned in another thread that the bucket was reinforced near the pins to accommodate the quick attach option. I will have to see it first, but I doubt it would keep me from putting a QA on my BX25 FEL.

The bucket has been reinforced or has the FEL arms?

Im guessing that the upgrade to the axle and stronger lift arms (assuming they even exist) is due to the added leverage caused from the new QA moving the attachments a few inches outwards.

I visited a dealer today. They did not have any BX's with a QA. Said they might have one in a couple of weeks.

The search continues...

OK...

Here are photos of the new 243 FEL on a BX25D with a QA and my old 240 FEL on my BX24 (2007).

I am not a expert, but I really don't see any big difference between to the two FELs. Except for the "T" reinforcement they appear to be the same. The metal thickness appears to be the same where the "T" is missing. The center cylinder bar could be thicker metal, but I am not sure what that would do as far as structure. If the center bar is a thicker metal I would think it would be a different size and would need to be reinforced where it attaches to the arms. The buckets also look the same.

I did buy a QA and have been using it. It works great so far. It does move the bucket out about 3 5/8 inches out. The QA weighs in at 46.2 LBS. There was some attachment issues, but I used some bronze thrush washers to fill in the gap. I am working on a set of light weight forks to fit the QA. I bought them years ago. The forks Kubota makes are way too heavy for the lifting capacity of the BX.

Finally I have a QA and for $275. :cool2:

Thanks for the comparison pic's. I agree that it's impossible to see any real differences. I do recall someone saying the front axle on the 25D was reinforced or bigger, or something, to handle the extra stress. Anyway, my dealer quoted me $400 for the QA and $1,000 for the forks. Prices here are way out of line with what I've seen so far from other TBN members. I thought the QA and forks were pricing out around $1,000 total. A QA for $275 looks like a real good price.

When I priced a FEL for my BX2360 a while back the dealer told me he could only get the newer loader but it was the same as the older loader. The quick attach was an extra 275 dollars.
