Looking at buying a B 3030 with cab. Has anyone ever heard of the 8.3-24 rear ag tire option? Did Kubota make a narrow version of this tractor (outside width of rear wheels is only 45" wide). A narrow setup is what I need, but poor history on origin of tractor and wondering if someone just stuck the 24' wheels on the back and they won't be compatible wit the 7-12 fronts.

RROS,
I have a 2010 Cabbed-B3030. I snapped a pic of my owner's manual with the listed tire information it gives. The checked tires represent my turf tires. I'm not able to answer any of your questions.
Good luck.

My B7800 (basically same tractor as B3030) came with 8.3x24 ag tires. I bought it used from a Kubota dealer with only 32 hours on it. The story was that the original purchaser planned to move it in a pickup truck, hence the narrow tread, but with the FEL it was too long. I didn't even realize at the time that this was a non-standard setup. It is a bit narrow so I watch side slopes carefully. I wonder if that wheel/tire setup comes from an L series. In any event, it is great for traction and has served me well for 9 years and over 330 hours.

That tire size is sometimes found on B-series, but I don't know where they come from or how they are ordered. I have mostly seen it on tractors in Canada and Europe, but they are pretty rare regardless.

Looks narrow all right. Can you move the wheel components around to make it wider? 2 piece rim or single piece welded?

No, can't make it wider that way.....single piece (welded) wheel with dish turned in.

Yeah.. my L3400 is narrower than I'd like on side hills, even with the R1's set as wide as they will go.

herrring choker, What size front tires? this is a narrow setup is what I want, Kubota say this option was not available? does it work, nice 3 pt. setup, home built?

rrostvet Front tires are 7-12, which is the size listed in the standard spec. I don't know where the 8.3-24 on mine came from, but I bought it used from a Kubota dealer with only 32 hours on it. I find they work very well - good traction in snow. I just have to be careful about sidehills.
You're right, I built the 3 point attachment from some scrap tubing I had laying around. So far, I've made a spring-tooth harrow, a set of light forks and a boom pole that quickly attach to it. It is also set up to skid logs or tow a trailer. I find it real handy.
