I also wanted to know how to tell the difference between a driveshaft with a slip clutch or shear pin. Thanks.

I really appreciate it. image.jpg can you tell from the pic if it has a slip clutch.

I run a Land Pride 48" rotary cutter with my BX2660. You should be able to download an manual on your cutter from Woods to see the slip clutch and how to maintain it.

If not, you can download one from Land Pride and you will see pictures and descriptions for the slip clutch; we have LP and Woods.

Thanks I didn't get it yet I'm goaing to see it tomorrow I was wondering if it is possible to tell from the pic if it has a slip clutch

It is hard to tell from that angle at least for me, here is a picture of mine with a slip clutch, maybe it will help.

yup hard to tell from pic -- you gotta look under the pto collar on cutter. and it should work. 42 is well under 48" limit of the BX.

My manual says not to go over 42" but if I could find a deal on a 48 I'd jump on it. The little ones are few and far between in my area. Northeast Ohio if anybody has one. Thanks for the input.
