I really like your rear light guards, certainly a factory look to them. A real top notch job.
I ended up grabbing a couple cheapies from PA too. They're still sitting on the shelf until I decide if I'm going to hold out for proper ones or cut up the PA ones. I really dont even need welded on bucket hooks that much anymore since I built my forks and my trailer mover because it has some hooks already on it, having permanent ones might be handy though.
Wish I had an ironworker;). Its what takes it from nice looking to "factory"
Great work Paul.
Still not sure on the placement of the Ditch lights.. Im sure they'll light the ditches and do what you need, but my issue was getting light right out front due to the bucket and that round crossmember. You went low, and I had to go high to get the spread I needed. Those high power Rigids might just have enough lumens to blow right past the obstructions. Hopefully you'll demonstrate the spread at nite like you did on the big tractor.
If you get into marketing your designs and have someone fab out the boring grunt work, then I'd like to get in on the action by being the CAD grunt.
Is the grille guard a Kubota item? I was just surprised to see it was silver in color instead of orange or the chassis gray color.
She tends to master everything she takes on. I've seen her spend hours at a software program on a problem she couldn't work out and eventually got it solved. Yesterday I asked her if she could design me a "Ditch Light" logo and an hour later she came out to the shop and handed me two to choose from
I'll pass on your kind words on her work. She'll enjoying reading it. Thanks.
I placed the order for the hooks and the next thing the UPS truck driver was walking in the door with them and the convenience alone was worth it plus the UPS guys love to hang out in our shop looking around so it's a win win situation.
IF I look at something and see a potential design and in my mind and it looks good, weather its practical or not I HAVE to see it done. Can't help it. I just have to do it. I've shut down my shop to go at my designs because it was fresh in my mind and while it was It was the right time to do it. It took 16 hours to design/fabricate those Ditch Lights. It might not look complicated BUT try it. There's not much room to make it work and work right.
I'll admit those ditch lights are there more for the cool factor than anything else. How many BX's have you seen with the exact Ditch Lights? Over here on my side of the pond when I drag a motorized vehicle on my lot that we own the locals got a certain expectation of us and I can't let them down
Seriously the Ditch Lights are there because I thought the area needed something in place and after I had them installed I hooked a wire to them and WOW  crazy bright but wait until next week. I'm about to put Nova Scotia into 24 hours of daylight :D
I appreciate your comments
Matt we've been friends a looooong time and if I get involve deeper into this tractor parts and accessory stuff weather you like it or not you know I'm dragging you into it
Kathy and I are pondering a few possibilities. ;)
aczlan / 4shorts, I understand about the grille gaurd quality. Its just not up to par with the rest of the tractor. I really like the ditch lights and bumper ideas. And I know its personal pref. about color on the grille gaurd but mine started out as silver and grew into something more.
Paul, will you be needing tie downs for your tractor? Could they be incorporated to the bolt pattern of the ditch lights?
