BX BH Thumb worth it?

After stretching the new guys wings this weekend I only used the thumb for a few tasks but was glad I had it so good choice. I am very amazed at the difference in capacity when working with stumps between the 1860 and 25D especially with the QA and forks.

Nice job! That's a good sized stump to be digging out with a BX25D. How long did it take you?

That one took about four hours...also the first time I've run a BH in 10+ years.

Good lord. I'd like to see what you could do with a full size back hoe if you did that with the BX  You got patience my friend. How much is Kubota in the US charging for the forks. Here for the QC and forks are over $1100. Thats way more than I paid for the forks on the 5740. Great photos' Enjoyed seeing them.

I don't know what sea2summit's dealer charged him, but here in Connecticut, my dealer quoted me $1,400 plus tax for the QA and forks. Nearly fell over. Needless to say, if I buy them, it won't be from my local dealer. I'm actually thinking of getting a quote from Barlow's but haven't decided for sure that I really "need" them.

Yup. That's pretty well the same as I got quoted  I figured they made a mistake

I feel lucky, my dealer offered to sell me the set up for $850...I'm still thinking if I should do it or not....

Nice of you to say but I felt like a giraffe learning to walk, for some reason the controls just didn't feel as intuitive as I remembered them being.

Not sure what the breakdown of the cost was, after adding the qa, forks and shoes for the BH it was $830 to the package but we had been haggling some other points. Total was 19.5 out the door with 25d, bh, qa, forks, thumb, bh shoes from what I gather I got a pretty square deal.

Do it, you get way more leverage on your load compared to other forks, reduced stress on your front axle, better maneuverability. Some of these are sales lines but it's all easy math to proove. It's a win in my book.

Sounds like a good price.

Wow, if I'm reading right, both Soapandbacon and sea2summit paid around $850 for the QA and forks. That jives with the "build my kubota" pricing which last I looked was around $800 +/-. But, I thought I must be missing something to get a $1400 quote from my dealer. Actually $850 sounds cheap if that includes the QA, the carrier for the forks and 2 32" pallet forks. Can either of you confirm those prices are for all three (or four with 2 forks) pieces?
