Stu, thanks for responding. While I can't remember for sure, I believe that's what I was told was the R1 number. I wish I had the service manual to verify it though since I'm not 100% positive.

New member here and new owner of a L4060. Had this same problem so I thought I'd join to 1) say thanks for the info! and 2) say that my initial setting was 1766. I changed it to the recommendation you guys had so hope that's the one for and L4060 with R4 tires. Looking forward to sharing and gaining more info as my ownership continues! Traded a '99 New Holland TC29D so this new one feels like a giant in comparison.

I played around with it some more this afternoon, and it's definitely not in any of the normal menus or settings.

The reason why it's not documented anywhere in the user manual is because the change needs to be done from the diagnostics / service menu. To access the service manual, you need hold the Display Mode button down and then turn the tractor on (but you don't need to start it though) while holding the button in. Once the service menu appears, scroll to option "J" and select it (by holding down the Display Mode button); from there you can either select kph or mph (once selected - hold button and it "OK" will appear at the bottom of the screen.)

I had to do a bit of thinking to figure this out! :)

This was very helpful. Thanks for getting me to the service display.

What are the other selections that are available in the service menu? Maybe one where I can set my clock??? :licking:

Old thread I know.......but for anyone's benefit, the number for the l3560 (smaller) R4 tires is 2404. This is located under the B Selection.

I know this is an old thread, but maybe someone can educate me. I have no idea what R4 means when talking about tires. I know what industrial, turf, and ag tires are. I just bought a new L4060 and I had my dealer take the industrial tires off and put on ag tires. How can I find the ratio for ag tires? I toggled through the display for 20 minutes tonight and could not find any way to change from metric to SAE. I will go back out to the barn later and try to access the service menu mentioned in this thread.

Edit to add: I found the service menu, and mine had the KPH/MPH setting under the J menu just like you said. But I still have no idea what tire ratio to use.

Lynyrd, The instructions and codes you are looking for are part of the assembly instructions the dealer gets, they normally just throw these away when finished. If you send me a message with your email address, I will email you the instructions needed. Philip.
