Backhoe BX25D controls

Welcome to the forum. I don't really know the answer but I would be surprised if it hurt the machine. You wouldn't be changing anything about the over all function of the machine just which direction it moves when you pull a lever. I know this subject has been discussed here before so I'm sure someone will chime in.

so you want to switch the dipper and boom? Problem is that BX doesn't come with tpss as far I am aware of (switch to flip between sae and iso). Problem is you will need to buy tools or make your own to loosen and swap the dipper and boom hoses. Its going to take a fair amount of work due to tight tolerances under the foot platform. Its not hard, just time consuming.
You would have to start outside with regular wrenches and work your way to dipper and boom hoses. I am pretty sure all BX's hoses are already color coded like mine is, but the only thing I am not clear on if the boom and dipper hoses have the exact same metal bend to each other off the spool. My bt601 is off right now and its dark out. I won't be able to take a look till later this week, but I am confident that you can see for yourself which is dipper and boom hoses on the spool.

Can't give you any specifics on switching the controls, but something to be aware of from my reading on the BT602. Kubota added some damping on some of the cylinder functions to slow movement down at the end of the stroke. I'm thinking they put this on the swing cylinder only, but not sure. I do know my swing function is much faster than any other function and is real touchy. Anyway, if you reverse the controls, you might need to take that into account, assuming you want to move the swing to the other stick (not familiar with CAT controls.)

forgot to add - you are referring to iso and SAE backhoe patterns. googling and searching here on TBN sae and iso patterns will give you hours of reading.
