Default Re: Landpride grapple for SCUT?

I have used mine quite a bit so far. For the type of ground work I am doing I like the Ratchet rake better...I can see where the grapple would have a place, and I have tried to pull roots with it with mixed results.

As far as lifting I have been more limited by the size of the grapple then the ability to lift. Like the other poster said I clamp down as hard as it will go. Biggest thing I lifted has been 4 RR ties, I really think that was luck getting them all in there however...I have not been able to get 4 ties in there again....and I missed getting a photo.

Here are a few photos of 3 ties in the grapple, tractor lifted the wet ties like nothing, but to get more then that everything would have to be lined up just perfect.

Thanks. It works great and I like the mods as well. Kinda fits my needs.
I got to use our grapple for the first good run this week and I'm really pleased with it. The BX handles it great.

That Grapple looks like what the Dr. ordered for the BX. And I really like your dump trailer.

The only there where I think it could have been better are the buttons on the end of the loader control...just a huge thing. And the ability to put some grease into the pins on the grapple itself. I don't have the tools like 4 shorts does so I just pulled the pins and wipe some grease on the pins and put them back....better then nothing I figure.

Those are really the only two things I think I would change.
