Hello, I have a year 2000 machine with 630 hours on it. Lots of FEL time. I developed leaks in the front axle, looks like a main joint where it joins the axle. Probably a worn seal. I'm not very mechanically inclined....is this something that a person with limited experence should attempt? Thanks Brad

Switch to gear oil and see if it fixes it, it did on mine. If you do a search you will find many threads on changing the seal.

I have the same machine with a few more hours on it than you. It was leaking a small amount. I read the threads hear and used Valvoline 75w-90 full synthetic gear oil. 50+ hours later after change no leak. Be sure to take caps off the top of both hubs so they fill, I put the oil in both sides and after the fill drove it around for a few minutes and re checked the level. Good luck, was the easiest fix I've done. Dan
