I bought my L295DT new in 1981 replacing a 1978 L185 2WD and thought I had gone from a garden tractor to Big Bud.

Good for you! If one is good, two must be better!

Not trying to be smart, but I can't figure out how a fender gets damaged like that. ?? It's obviously seen some rough days, but do you know what happened there? Again, not being smarmy - I recently bought a second Kubota garden tractor (G1900) that I intended to be a parts machine and ended up tearing it down to the frame and nursing it back to health. Now I try to distract my wife when she starts asking silly questions like why we need three Kubota machines (recently bought a BX1860, too) for a one-acre subdivision lot.

Congrats again.

 Looks like that model didn't have much of a fender to begin with...
Yours looks a little "Crossed-Eyed" too!
As long as she runs and gets the job done!!!

I feel the same way.. the mowing is getting done in half the time it used to take.

No clue why it looks like that.. But it runs very well and has lots of power.
