Yeah, but is the OP asking about a MMM, Bush Hog type, flail (not likely), sickle, or (I'm out of ideas)?

His info shows he has a BX1870, so my info was based on this. You can also do the change with n SAE, but it is an odd size and the fit is not quite as good.

my answer would have been 'the size that fits'... but that's just me.
I usually just go to the tool box and grab a couple wrenches or sockets that look close, and use the one that fits.
