Anyone know for sure what thread standard is
common for Kubota front hyd blocks? Looks
like plain old NPT in the case of my L48. The
parts manuals aren't any help as they don't call
out anything but the Kubota part number.

Everything after it is all NPT/SAE/JIC.
But the hyd block to my understanding is made
in Japan. My concern is this potentially being a
close size metric thread which wouldn't make too
much sense in the US market.

You mean the hose connectors into the block outlets? If so then on the B-series they are 3/8 NPT. The loader's tank return fitting into the reservoir is also 3/8 NPT. I will wager that the L-series is the same since that is a pretty standard fitting size.

That's my thinking as I'd assume the thread standard to be market
compatible. There is a standard used in Japan derived from British
Pipe Thread which 'looks' similar to NPT. Curious what the owners
of grey-market tractors do to work this issue.
