I bought a used M6800 and would like to remove the hood to pressure wash and clean up but can't figure out how to remove the hood. I'm sure it's easy but I can't figure it out. These pictures may help but it looks like a simple hinge that just slips together. I've been trying lots of things today and all I got was dirty and tired.

Anyone know how to remove the hood on a mid size Kubota like an M6800? M8200 and M9000 are same design as are, I think, many others.

Here's a shot from a few feet away.

Here's a close up of one of the hinges. The pins do not appear to go all the way through but are fixed on one side.

Any advice appreciated.

yeah mate, easy. on top of the hood at the back is (or was) a small orange plastic plug about 3/4". pop it out. under it is a R clip that stops the hood sliding off the hinges. pull said R clip with pointy plyers. unclip the bonnet stay and with the bonnet 1/2 way up, push the rear of the bonnet off the hinge pins. this is stacks easier with two people.

Thank you ozzie. Last night I decided to take it off and it would have been easier with two people. Here's hoping it goes back on easier than when it came off.
