How much noise reduction do you get with a model that comes with a factory cab compared against the same model without a cab? I'm considering the L series.

cabs are noisy!

Why do you think they come with radios!

Cabs tend to have a howling or droning sound to them inside. Some less than others, test a few, let your ears decide.
Only thing i like a cab for is just wintertime snow plowing to get out of the cold. Other than that, they`re a pain in the azz.

And I like the "brace" of an icy winter's blast. SO, No cab for me.

Plus, the trees would just rip a cab off in less than a day any way. ;-)

I wear ear plugs inside my cab and turn up the radio to suit.

Larger crop row tractors have much better noise reduction.

I have both the L4060 HSTC and M7060 cabs. The L4060 is noiser because of the HST then the M7060 which is very quiet...... at least to me.

Kubota 'Grand L' tractors are quieter than Kubota 'Standard L' tractors.

My cab is home made and I added a padded liner under the roof to cancel drumming as well as deaden other noises.
My exhaust is flush with the roof line which helps greatly.
Since I never used it open station I can not compare but overall very satisfied.
Listening to stereo at low volume possibly is a good yardstick.
LOL, winter comfort was my goal. (it also sports a nice heater)
