I have the Kubota 62" front mount. Mucho $$$ but works real good and doesn't give me back spasms like the rear mounts. I had a 72" rear mount. They cost about 1/3 of a front mount.
Besides the fact that the front mount is easier on my back, there are other advantages: it is easier to control, and I find it easier to adjust it such that I don't throw rocks.
I do have a small problem, however. I hit a big rock and the chain broke instead of a shear bolt. When it warms up, I'm going to check to see if they didn't put a grade 5 shear bolt or something. It much easier to replace a shear bolt than repair a chain.
Anyhow, most people find rear mounts works real good. There is no comparison with a plow or (heaven help you) moving snow with a bucket, especially if you get alot at a time.
