What size brush-hog can an L3400 handle?

implement weight approved by Kubota 1435 pounds.
I have a L2800 and the owners manual has both tractors listed.

I would think it could handle a 5' with no trouble and a 6' with very little trouble.

I have a six foot that I use in weeds and change to a five foot for deep heavy grass. I have no problem with either one. I just kept the five footer because I could not get a good enough price selling it used. I like the six footer fine and keeping up with the heavy bluegrass would keep me from pulling the smaller one. Both are woods mowers.

It should handle a 5 footer just about anywhere you want to pull it. On hilly ground with steep slopes, cutting heavy brush with a heavy duty 6' mower, the L3400 will struggle a bit. On flat ground doing light mowing it will possibly be OK.

I'd talk to my dealer and explain that you really want a 6' mower but you're not sure how your tractor will handle it on your property. You might talk him into giving you a trial run.
