Which tooth bar Markham or Wr Long?? Pros & cons
I've been reading a lot of discussions on toothbars on TBN. I'm considering a 48" toothbar (BX23) from markham or Wr long.
I'd like to get some input on pros and cons from both. Your input would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Which tooth bar Markham or Wr Long?? Pros & cons
I have the WR Long toothbar and it works great. I paid $289 plus shipping two years ago. I believe the Markham is less money and it looks like it is well built from the pictures that I have seen. It has 5 teeth as opposed to 6 teeth on the WR Long. I don't know which would be better.

Markham for BX2200 was $150. Most courteous people you could possibly deal with. Excellent quality.

Re: Which tooth bar Markham or Wr Long?? Pros & cons
I am very happy with the Markham that I have. It has stood up to a lot of abuse, using one tooth to break roots and dig up small trees, and other torture. I also use it as a "hook" on big (1", 1 1/2") vines. I use one tooth to catch the vine and then start backing up. There have been many vines that caused the tractor to spin the loaded tires or stall out but the toothbar held up to the punishment. I would buy another Marcham in an instant.
Don't know anything about the WR Long.

I just got my Markham toothbar a few days ago. Great people to deal with and it was at my house in 2 days. Excellent quality on the welds, and it sure helps my little 7100 dig.

We got our toothbar for our L-3130 with LA723 FEL from Carvers, it is a WR LONG.
I did manage to break off one of the teeth shanks while pushing on a live oak stump.....

SkyPup,
In your picture it looks like the toothbar is sticking out to far, not butted up against the bucket egde.
Is it just my imagination ?
