I just spoke to the dealer I bought my B3030 from. Kubota has for the time being suspended selling the 3030 and the 2630 for use with turf tires until they come up with a technical solution to the problem. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Howdy,
I find it very hard to understand how this can happen. I would expect this from some bofo brothers manufacturing fly by night tractor company but not Kubota. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif The web site has a picture of a 3030HSDC with a mower and Turf tires. What changed between then and now? I guess I won't expect to see my HSDC till late May. Putting a spacer on puts additional torsion force on the axle shafts. Hopefully the gearbox will put up with that for a lot of years. The thing that is really disturbing is that the end user is making the discovery. Didn't the dealer notice that things are on the wee bit side of tight /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif.
Jeff
Stef, I have the R-1's and have plenty of room. I need them for muddy situations, food plots, creeks, etc. on my hunting property. Back at home, they really aren't bad on my lawn unless it is wet and on a slope. My little 216 JD, with turf tires, does damage when it is wet and on an angle.
I ordered my B3030 today. I should have it this weekend. I saw it this morning with the BH75, LA403 arms and R4s this morning. It looks good. There is about 2" clearance between the side of the tire and the wheel well. I'll post pics later. I'm getting the ATI bucket and quick attach so I can use standard skid steer attachments. I'm jazzed...

Here is a pic of it on the rack before the tires went on.
I may have to return my B3030 with the turf tires and consider putting R-4's on instead. I'm quite bummed out about this design glitch, and I don't think I am going to accept adding spacers to allow more room for the turfs. This seems like a jury rig on a new tractor! My hope is that there is another turf tire out there with a narrower profile.
I really don't understand. As you can see on this pic my B3030 is equipped with turf tires and there's 3/16 space between the tire and wheel well. I don't need spacers to use the tractor but I ordered them anyways.
