L3400 HST 50 hour service, what should it cost?

I just got my 50 hour service for my new 3400 HST. I took it in myself and they replaced filters, fluid, lubed, etc. No repairs or anything out of the ordinary. THe cost??? 397$. That is about 8$ per hour for the first 50 hours. Is this a normal price? Can others tell me what theirs cost?

That's probably about right when you add the dealer's labor. I just finished doing the 50 hour service myself on my new B3030, and I spent about $200 for fluids and filters, including engine oil and super UDT. Approx. $200 labor for this is not bad!

I did the work myself, and the fluids and filters cost me $176. And I think you have an extra filter for your HST, unless I am mistaken--which I probably am. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Glad to see your hoe is going well. Mine is too; they apparently have beefed up the dipperstick cylinders. My new one is noticeably thicker than the original.

I have a 5030 and just hit the 400 hour mark. SUDT, all the filters. and I have engine oil on hand. Matereials little over $300. my labor is free.

Here are some pictures of a BH75 that ran flawlessly through Saturday.
It was purchased December 2005, I am attempting to have Kubota replace the cylinder based on your information.

Interesting. I asked for a price quote on my first 50 hr service BEFORE I recently bought my L3400HST. Quoted price was $400. I think 'somebody' has standardized their service prices.

Filter kit (free kubota hat ) with Kubota UDT, engine oil , and grease ran about $185. Was quoted $395, and so I chose to tackle the project myself since everything needed to be done is actually referenced in the owner's manual. Took me about 2 hours to get it all done by myself and wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

I just did my 50 hour service myself on my L4400. Filters, 12.5 gallons SUDT, and 2 gallons engine Oil cost me $340. Took about two hours to do it all. No idea what labor would be but I'd guess about $100-$200 on top of materials.
