This may have been posted before but I couldn't remember seeing it. Since the B7800 and B2910 are the same tractor except for a few nicey nice features, what keeps a person from buying the B7800 and adding the upgraded B2910 seat and 3ph extendable lift arms? Has anyone looked into this? How much did it cost?

I just got the 2900 3 pt stabilizers for about 115 bucks, the extendable units were over 300, I passed on them.

Cost. It's the same reason you don'y buy a Chevy and try to turn it into a Cadilac. The indivudual parts usually cost more than the whole unit.

Go to Tractor Smart and get the parts manual for the B2910 and then check out the cost for the parts on their site.

I very closely evaluated the B7800 and B3030 (which replaced the B2910) and although you could add some of the B3030 features to the B7800, most of the best ones you couldn't including independant pto, more pto hp (23 vs. 22), true position control, larger fuel tank, and a different hydro-pedal configuration.

For me, the features I got with the B3030 were more than worth the relatively small price difference.

"Ditto." If there is one thing I have learned over the years when making a purchase, spend the extra and get the top of the line. It usually isn't that much more. You will be glad you did in the long run.
