Well My BX has started leaking fuel again from the sending unit.

How many have had this re-occur after installing a kit in them?

I honestly am beginning to wonder just how many times this part will fail.

This is the second time for me.
The kit part # is as follows:K2561-96140 , priced at a whopping $18.25 + two to three hours to repair it. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I've got an '01 BX 2200 and when it started leaking, I got a new sending unit and pulled my old one out and found that the dealer had given me a replacement unit exactly like the one that was leaking, instead of leaving the tractor apart till he ordered the new improved sending unit, I cleaned the rubber gasket and the opening in the tank, then used silicone sealer and put it back together with the old sending unit and let it dry for 24 hours before refilling, that's been at least a year and a half ago, still is not leaking, and still have my fingers crossed.

I have a '00 BX2200. Had a leak too. Repaired ~4 times under warranty. Has not leaked in quite a while now (~2+ yrs?). Not sure what they did. The last time was an NPT fitting for one of the hoses on the left rear of the tank. They simply reapplied teflon tape and tightened the fitting that time. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Update!

I found the reason Mine is leaking a second time.

It seems that when it was "repaired" the first time all they used was the red RTV sealant and plenty of it as well, even though there was the service bulletin out on this problem, they left the original in place. think I will talk to Kubota about this one /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I also found the gasket on the fuel sensor damaged . This gasket has to be on the fuel sensor and does come with the same or can be ordered seperately.

Sensor , Fuel K2561-61370

Gauge Gasket 6A100-54790

The new fuel sensor is only a little over $19.00 so I have one ordered that should be here tomorrow.

Replaced the transaxle cooling blade and fan belt while I have here torn down.

This really isn't that hard just takes time. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
