L2800/L3400 Lift valve replacement

I stopped by the dealer today and asked the salesman to show me the lift on a new L2800. I rode on it while he eased the lever back, and the new ones still jump an inch or so as you slowly pull the lever. We tried an L3130, and he smoothly raised me off the ground.

So, they are still not sending tractors with the new valve as far as I can tell. Folks buying ones with good lift valves must have dealers that are changing them before the sale. Can anyone confirm this?

I have still not had a chance to get my tractor in for the job, but I actually held the replacement valve in my hand. For the record, it is Kubota part #31351-39604, Control Valve. I can't wait to get it installed.

The following serial numbers were posted on the buying forum. You can check the tractor you drove against these. These are supposed to have the new valve.

L2800F 10929 and up

L2800DT/HST 57745 and up

L3400F 10547 and up

L3400DT/HST 61733 and up

I bought an L2800 2 weeks ago and it did not have the new valve. I called the dealer a couple of days after I took delivery and they came to pick it up (after I faxed him some pages from TBN about the lift problem). They have had it about a week now and I haven't heard anything.

Mine is definitely before those numbers.

I'll call the dealer and ask about the two on his lot (although he said he just got them in recently). I don't know where Kubota warehouses them, but they could still be working through existing stock.
