Top link Cylinder Noise!
Suddenly my top link cylinder makes a "Chattering" noise with hesitation when I lower it with the box blade connected. Checked fluid levels, possibly air in the system???? or ????
Perhaps "Mad Ref" has the answer!!!

Re: Top link Cylinder Noise!
I have a CCM hydraulic top link cylinder and it also chattered part of the time while extending. Also it wouldn't move at times and I would have to disconnect and reconnect the hoses.
Then I added restricted orifice fittings to both lines at the quick connects and that fixed everything and slowed the action down which made it much easer to adjust.

Re: Top link Cylinder Noise!
Assuming it has worked flawlessly since day one, and it is now some time since then, and nothing has been connected/disconnected, and it mysteriously started to chatter then I would look at the cylinder rod. A slightly bent or out of line cylinder rod will give the same symptoms. You may not even see the bend, it must be measured.
