Kubota Hour Meter-Real Time or PTO Time
Just got a 4330 and it seems to be putting on the hours pretty fast. Do the newer tractors show hours whenever the engine is running? My old tractor showed the hours based on time run at 540 pto RPM.
Of course I could be just enjoying driving the tractor!!2006 Kubota 4330-DT, FEL, Woods BB600, Disc, Grader Box and Hyd Top Link

Re: Kubota Hour Meter-Real Time or PTO Time
Guy, I guess you need to either time your hour meter or maybe check your manual. I have no idea why Kubota does some models one way and some the other. My '95 B7100 was an electric clock; i.e., ran normal "clock" time anytime the key was turned on; made no difference whether the engine was running or not or what RPM the engine was running. Then my '99 B2710 had the hour meter that registered one hour in an hour of clock time only if the engine was running at PTO speed. So I have no idea which type your tractor has.

Guy,
I think all the "higher end" tractors have meters that track at PTO speed.
