I have documented the process of getting ready for winter with the BX. The process is as follows.
MMM removed and now need to remove the canopy. 12 bolts to take off to remove the canopy.
Sims cab on the dolly getting ready for lift
Snowblower on dolly
Jig I had made up based on Larry from mower axle design
Jig attached to the Sims cab
Hoist I added to the garage, from Harbor Freight, makes this a one person job. Total cost to install was about $100 2 years ago.
Sims lifting to top of the hoist
Cab in place, now have to bolt into place. 12 bolts to put into place and tighten.
Have to remove the handles on each side of the cab
Handles removed
Grill guard has to come off, 4 bolts
Front PTO being lifted into place
Front PTO in place, make all connections to rear PTO, install shield to front connection to protect the oil pan, 2 bolts
Rear blade connected to the weight box. Weight box is from a Case tractor and blade I got off E-bay for $25. I use the blade to move snow away from the garage doors. Then use the snowblower to get the snow out of the way.
Rear blade on the tractor
Ready for winter
Total time 2 hours, I did not rush and took pictures of each step.
