    Default Cat 299d

Has anyone seen it or have any pictures of it? Seen the press release on Cat's website today.

Wouldn't mind giving one of the xhp's a try with a mulching head on it 106hp sounds nice. Would like to see what the hydraulic performance is on one.

Saw one in person yesterday. Beastly machine but will need some counterweights to lift anything of any real size. It had a hard time picking up a 54" Dutchman tree spade without the tree, without hunching the back end up.

Hope they worked all the bugs out since I had my 297. Only thing cat left off on the 299d is a factory fire suppression system.

Based off what i paid for my 297c, i wouldn't be surprised if the 299D was in the 85,000- 90,000 range. Heck could be more they are proud of that yellow paint.
