Anyone ever run a hydro ax with a mulcher? Looking at a 411EX to use as a feller buncher. It would be nice to also run a mulcher on it. It has a cummins 6bt but I can't find any specs on flow, etc on the net.

Hey there. You need to call Rowmec in Tx. they are experts on Hydro-Axs. They rebuild them to make mulching platforms. The problem arises with there are certain models that are designed to run hot saws, they usually have gear pumps, gear pumps do not like running mulchers. Then they have models made to run mulchers. They should be able to give you the models that designate the difference. Later

I own a 421 E and have run a mulcher only on it the last 10 years... One of the best if not best machines i own as far as production and cost of ownership goes.. Give john ohagen senior a call at rowmec.. He knows his stuff, i ran one of his heads years ago, good fair guy
