I recently purchased an 85" wide mower for my RC100. The mower is very heavy. When turning or bumping trees, I noticed the arms were being stressed to swing sideways. The arm bushings are not made for sideways deflection, failure of the bushings or cracking of the arms is almost certain.
I made a bracket to keep the arms cradled when lowered. Bracket simply bolts to existing holes in the frame. It's adjustable with slots because the arms are already bent 3/8" to left. Used 4" x 1/2" steel and left a 1/32" gap on both sides of the cradle. Easy project to prevent a very expensive repair.
