none .. as I've been banished to suburbia
Hello... used to be regular here.... long ago when I lived in the country.. now suffering through suburbia!

Looking for a quality walk behind broadcast spreader....
sadly we only have about 2/3 acre.....

but tired of the big box crap......

Earthway and Lesco are on my rader (50# size is plenty for me)

So...for $100 to over $200 neither actually come with any sort of Edge Guard or guard so particulate doesn't get thrown over me when going slowly??

Seems silly

So...looking for a quality spreader... hopefully with some sort of edge guard...... lots of flowers, etc. close to the grass and don't want to shoot pre-emergent all over them!

Any help would be great....
and I miss my acres and my tractor :(

For working close to flower beds etc. a drop spreader is hard to beat. For covering acreage they are a PITA. I have an earthway broadcast that works well but like you say it does not have any gaurd to prevent product from spraying back. I have never noticed anything hitting my legs though while in use.

So..stopped in a local landscape supply house and they carry a spreader there
Fetilome Ev-N-Spread
40# capacity....
Model 2000VPG

looks fine for my needs, but I can't find anything on this spreader of detail...

several searches seem to point to the Earthway site and their model 2000

Is this the same spreader just re-branded?
Has 9" pneumatic tires, powder coated frame, etc. etc

anyone by chance have insight on this?

Thanks

Seems the Fertilome spreader is an enigma... it looks to be the same as the Earthway... but there is just no info anywhere on it.....
I know I'm spending too much time on this... but $100 is $100!

Thanks
