What is a Deines mower worth??

I haven't looked at it yet, but a guy wants to trade one in on a Dixie Chopper. I tried to get him to let me sell it for him, rather than take it on trade. There is very little information available on them, but I don't want to give him more than I need to. This isn't the best time of year for used mowers!

I'm going to look at it in a while and will add information when I can. I know it is a three wheel thing and have no idea what engine or deck is on it?

Just looking for a general idea or the value.

You guys are going to cause the internet to crash with all of the replys here!! It is a model 1800 with a Kohler engine. Not too bad condition overall, but a lot of missing paint on the deck and two different drive tires. The hour meter shows about 520.

He told me he thought you could buy one direct from Deines in the spring with free freight for about $6200, so not a top end machine and no real dealer network I guess.

It is a strange looking thing, but I'm not used to front mount machines.

Any ideas on this thing??

I think that the lack of responses is a result of the lack of knowledge about Deines. You have to admit they don't have an extensive dealer network.

From a personal perspective, I would give more that about $1.5k for it. The above lack of dealers, coupled with the uncomfortable look of the design just doesn't make it appealing to me from either a monetary nor operational point of view.

A co-worker owns one and he thinks it is the best - out there. I have not seen it or been around one, just going by what he has said. His is a mid 20 hp model.

OK, so I found a few for sale. One on Ebay that was very mint only sold for $1500. Mint, as in it was completely repainted and it looked like a very good job. Had all new decals and looked to have 5 new tires. Found another on Craigslist that the guy has listed three times for $2200.
Sounds like I couldn't give but $1000 for it.
