With a hog, I'd say that's a fair price, assuming the engine, trans, and PTO/3pt seem okay.

Ok here's the update... The hog platform is rusted out... I'm guessing 1 or 2 uses before something pops out from the bottom up.

Tractor made a funny sound but I think it's because of the loose muffler.

Tell me what this is and is it suppose to have oil. It was completely dry and looks like the metal teeth inside are starting to wear. Oh and what kind of oil goes there.

I got him down to $3500 but still think it's not a deal, especially with issue in the picture and the hog not being in better condition.

Looking for guidance.

Not positive but I think that might be the power steering pump.

Isn't the power steering on the other side???

Need more guidance.

notice where that hole is.

looks awfully alot like the front cover of an engine.. right? :)

like timing gears.. and oil fill... ;)

hmm.. not even a rag over it. gotta wonder what kind of care it's seen if the owner leaves the oil fill open.

I guess that's kinda like slapping a kid to make it shut up... :(

I'd pass on a tractor if I say that.. unless they could prove they just lost it. and oil analysis said no silicon and looked clean, and it had good comp and oil pressure and oil anylysis said no abnormal wear metals.

:(

No, it has a cap, I took it off for the picture.

When you say oil... Like 10w30???

And if that was the only thing wrong what would it cost to fix.

I may have a mechanic go look at it to give it a once over.
It's the prefect little size to get in there and start mowing down.

has a cap = good.

oil.. like 15w40 C rated diesel crankcase oil.

if it has a cap.. I'd say everything's fine..

Gary I passed, it just didn't feel right. Was worried that he said he had fixed a whole bunch of stuff and that case was empty of oil, with oil stain on the ground. Going to look for something that feels better.
