So about 10p-12 times since the middle of last winter my tractor has gone into limp mode. I have put on over 100 hours since this started. It has progressively gotten worse and does it about 1/2 hour after EVERY regen cycle now. Goes into 1800RPM limp for nearly an hour AFTER 30 minutes AFTER it has completed a regular regen!! Today i moved 30-40 ton of pit run for a job about 20 miles up into the mountains. I had just wrapped up and pulled up to my truck and let it idle to let the turbo cool down while i called the wife. After about 4-5 minutes of idling, IT QUIT! Started it back up and the Red Exclamation light bottom left was flashing but this timer the ONE DFF light was also flashing where in the past it was both DPF lights and the exclamation. Went to put it on the trailer which was about 200' away and 30 seconds or so in it quits again! Dealer is aware but he is about 460 miles away round trip and i have needed the tractor all summer. Now it is unusable so i guess i make the long journey! I have worked on Powerstroke diesels since they started building them in 1994. Owned a performance shop for a while and modded the **** out of them, bigger injectors, turbos, EGR deletes (for off road use lol) Programming ECT. I WILL get to the bottom of this emissions BS and make it go away eventually!! Just no time to dig into it right now and i'm still under warranty!
