I changed my Motor oil, motor filter and Hydraulic filter in my 5020c...I did not change the hydraulic oil but buy a gallon of it cause you will lose some when you change the filter..

An FYI the oil filter is on there HARD..and there is no room to work..luckily a buddy of mine had an oil wrench with some teeth cause i couldnt get it off even punching a screwdriver thru the filter. There was barely any room to turn the filter too once the screw driver was in there..

I'm finally ready to do my 50 hr maintenance and the schedule in my owner's manual says to change the hydraulic fluid -- go figure! (Page from manual in this post: TBN post 2647842)

I changed the filter and fluid on my R4041 EZ at 50 hours. I figured the first 50 hours on a new machine would contaminate the fluid due to break in. If anything it was peace of mind. I grabbed 2 pales of the NAPA premium fluid and did the deed. The 3 plugs were magnetic so I was able to see the fine gray metal powder that had acummulated (normal wear during break in)

On the LS 3010 if doing an inline heater{engine/coolant} you'll need a KAT 14600 1.5". Now this is really a tight fit so you could probably go with the 1.25"{not sure of the #} it's an easy add on and if located in a cold climate, IMO, well worth it.

My LS5030c is coming due the first 50hr service. Like everyone else my filters are painted over with the engine paint. I have the Mitsubishi 55 hp. S4S engine. Can anyone give me any help with an oil filter number and a number for the hydrualic filter. I need a starting point as I can convert from there. I upgraded from a Long tractor to the LS 5030 with cab and it seems like I went to heaven. "Lovin to mow."

There's no need to bump this thread anymore. It has been "stuck".

On the S3010 oil filter, Wix lookup for the S4L engine oil filter shows 51356 as the correct filter, not the 51365 number that was posed here previously. I purchased a 51365 today after reading this thread and it is not the correct filter. I pulled it out of the box and it was noticeably smaller, so that is what drew me to look it up.

I never bought the Wix oil filter so I'm sorry if I gave out bad info. I actually got the NAPA 1365 and it appears to be the right one as best as I can tell. It's the same size as the oil filter I got from the LS dealer (which is now installed). In all my research I thought all the Wix and NAPA filters shared the same last four digits. Not too sure about that anymore....
