New to LS
I just about purchased a DK40se Kioti before i came across LS tractors. I had to drive 2 hours to a dealer who had a LS 4047 in stock. The local dealer didn't have any. I must say i was very impressed. I liked it better than the Kioti. The gear and shuttle shift was better and the price was excellent too. The dealer quoted me a price of $19,000 for the 4047 with a front end loader, which i thought was very good considering the Kioti DK40se was $20,300. 47 horse compared to 41 horse. 5 year warranty compared to 4 year warranty. Is this a no brainer?

Re: New to LS
At face value? Yes, a no brainer. Both are Korean tractors. Opinions on the build quality between them isn't a show stopper.
I believe what remains is judging dealer/service/warranty support. Sometimes this isn't an easy judgement to make. Look at the service bays, parts counter and get an overall sense to the history and nature of the dealership. Go with the better dealer, as far as your head and your gut inform you.BP

Re: New to LS
is $19,000 a good price for a 4047 with a front loader? I'm going to put water in the tires so that's an extra $200.

Re: New to LS
I haven't priced a 4047 so I can't really say. And I think most tractor dealers are restricted from publishing their best prices (though they can publish list prices and "specials".) About the only thing you can do (if no one pops up with what they paid for one) is look at the package prices (often a tractor w/loader, cutter, & box blade) the dealers CAN publish and try to work out a price from there. Good luck in any case.

Re: New to LS
Yep nice tractor man,,good choice,,,I wish that I would have got off my wallet and spent the extra $$ for the 4047. I dig my 3010 but I'm always wishing it had just a little bit more umph!
