Mahindra purchase

I am in the starting stages of buying a new tractor to replace my 1910 Ford.
I am considering either a Mahindra 3510 or 4110 with a ML112 loader installed on which ever one I purchase.
What brand engine do they use in these tractors?
Also are there any concerns with owners as to availability of parts and service?

Those tractors have Daedong (The Manufacturer of Kioti tractors) engines. I don't think parts or service should be an issue, as Mahindra seems to be growing. Do you have a good dealer nearby?

Thanks for the reply, I have two dealers within 50 miles and am going to check them out next weekend.
What model Mahindra do you own? I am leaning heavily towards the 4110.

I've got the 2810HST, its an '03 with just over 350 hours. I am amazed at the work I get done with it, great machine. If you've got the room to use the 4110, I'd go for it over the 3510 also. It can't hurt having the extra power.
Let us know what you think of them after you get an up close look.

The 4110 is a very fine and popular machine in the 40 HP class made for Mahindra by TYM of South Korea. Only important difference from the TYM 400-series is the engines (Kubota on TYM vs. Daedong on Mahindra). The TYM also comes with two rear remotes stock while the 4110 comes stock with one. Adding a second one is about $500.00 extra. The KMW-made ML112 FEL is superior to anything I have ever seen mounted on a TYM... although the stock bucket is lighter duty than I would have specified for such a strong loader.

It's hard to determine what you really need unless you say how you intend to use it. If you are going to mow 5 acres of yard or are you going to be in the hay business?
I have a 3510, never hurt for power, and it is pretty easy on diesel, unless bush hogging, it drinks a little more then. I also feel even the 3510, could be too heavy to mow with a finish mower. It would tear up the yard somewhat, depending how particuliar you are I guess.
I always was a bigger is better guy, even thought how nice it would be having a bigger tractor. Then I realized that it was'nt needed, in my particuliar case. I have been quite happy with the 3510.
Why are you replaceing the 1910 Ford? Have you outgrown it? The 3510 might be a little more tractor and the 4110 is definately more tractor. Depends on your needs....

I am aware of the specs on these tractors amd the 1910 I currently own.
The 5 acres of yard includes the house site, barn, shop orchard and round pen and maybe cut back to add to a future hay feild.
I also will eb taking care of my inlaws 32 acres in the future.
I am looking at the 3510 and 4110 because I will need to pull a square baler in the future.
I am happy with the 1910 but I would like better hydraulics, independent pto (no two stage clutch), the flat operator platform and more hp.
I've been operating farm tractors since I was 9 years old so I know what I need.
I was inquiring as to any problems with the Mahindra tractors as to parts and service problems etc.

The two machines (3510 and 4110 w/ML112) are near identical except for the power difference and tire sizes... perhaps FEL bucket width as well (66" vs. 72"?). In regard to parts and service, the newest production models appear to be pretty much debugged of earlier production quirks and weaknesses... leaving it really a matter of how diligent, experienced and cooperative your local dealer(s) might be. I would look for a dealer that has been with Mahindra for a while and stocks more than minimal bare bones maintenance parts... although the drop shipping system Mahindra uses on general/repair/upgrade parts seems to work quite well so long as your dealer is not out at the end of a phone line with a 286 computer and 1400 baud dial-up modem. Depending on how close you are to those dealers and other options (TSC et al) and how time-critical your needs are, you may want to keep a modest supply of routine spares on hand.

Good luck in your decision. I have a 4110 with the matching FEL that I use for general light duty on 65 acs. I have really liked this tractor fairly comfortable, smooth and as others have said I feel it is very fuel efficent. I have the Industrial tires which are easier on the turf. I believe the 3510 is a 3 cyl, and the 4110 is 4 cyl which may be a consideration.

I'm over 1315 hrs. on my 4110 and 5 years now, have had some terrible front drive problems that have finally been narrowed down to improper tire sizing on my early production unit, but other than that particular problem the tractor has been a true workhorse. I plan to change tires before long to stop my front drivetrain problems. The 4110 is a very stable tractor for it's size, the loader is top notch and the engine is also A1. Mine uses absolutely no oil, starts everytime in temps. in the single digits and running a 6' cutter at 2500 rpm's I get about an hour per gallon of fuel. Personally I think the tractor has just enough PTO hp to cut anything you would cut with a 6' cutter - it will go thru some very heavy stuff with barely a whimper. The newer 4110's should be extremely dependable tractors. I've never had problems getting parts for mine - and believe me, I've had to order some parts !! I don't have a decent local dealer so I use LaWall's from here on the Net now to get my parts drop-shipped to me and he's been on the ball for me. I make my living with my tractor and he's really helped me keep the food on the table a couple times lately !!
