Talked to local dealer near Memphis Tennesse and they told me the 5500 has been discontinued and essentially replaced by the 5530 and 5520. I havent seen anything about this anywhere else and even the mahindrausa website still lists this as an active model. Anyone have any information?

As far as I know the 30 series is replacing the 00 series 4wd only. You should still be able to get the 5500 in 2wd model if that's what you want. If you want the 4wd you will need to go to the 20 or 30 series. |

yes, the 00 series 4wd's are being discontinued....they will now be included into the 30 series. There are a few changes in the models most of it being just the layout of the controls. The 20 series are a totally different unit, much heavier and robust that the 30 series.
thanks, Evan

Be sure that you sit on both of those before you buy.

I have had my 6520 for almost a year now.
Since then I have checked out a 4530 and a 5530 and love the layout and the "feel" of both. But they are nothing compared to a 20 series. hugs, Brandi |

I'd sure like to have the 4 more gears on my 6000. Other than that I wouldn't change a thing that they haven't already changed on the 30 series.
I probably wouldn't use the extra gears for anything other than tilling, but they would be nice to have. |
