If you compare them there is not very much difference. I've had a 6000 4wd for about 5 years and it's held up well.

Hello again!

Well I finally made it over to the dealer in Conroe Saturday and I have to tell you that was one of my worse shopping experiences ever. The sales person knew nothing! I was told at least 20 times I would need to ask the other sales person about that and of course he was out. All she could do was quote me list and give me brochures. It was ridiculous. I drove 30 miles to look at the tractor sit in the seat and nothing more. SAD!
Now on the other hand when I went to the JD dealership I was greeted by a nice knowledgeable sales person. Maybe I should reconsider green. **** I even got to drive two of the JD tractors and my wife drove one. 5103 2wd and 5103 4wd. My struggle is the 4wd JD cost 2k more than the 4530. Now I did notice the JD had some options the 4530 did not which added some of that cost I am sure. What I did like was to go from the 5103 45hp to the 5203 56hp it was a 1,100.00 jump in price. Not bad in my opinion.

Okay I will get off my soap box. I was just very unhappy with the dealer.

Not all dealers can be large operations, but the person who was there helping you, should have gotten your name address and phone# so the proper salesman could get back to you. Maybe even bring the tractor to you to see it and get all of your information you needed. I would hope that maybe some of this has happened or will happen.

She did nothing, but give my list price and that was only after I pushed for it. SHe just kept telling me I needed to speak with the other sales person. I could not believe what I was hearing.

That might have been her name. No she did not even act like she wanted to deal with me. No driving...no answering question....no knowing anything!

I am really thinking about calling the owner. I have not even told my sister yet, she will drop off the deep end I am sure.

All I know is they made the JD dealer look really good. **** they made the other Mahindra dealer look really good.

I may go back, but at this point I just don't know. Need to gather some more information and think about it. By the time I add the option the Mahindra is missing the JD has the price between the two is pretty close.

Sad thing is I was ready to buy a tractor.

In the dealers defense, a lot of the times Sat. is a day where most of the "normal" employees are off work. I know here we are a 4 person operation and normally we only have one person working Saturday's b/c we are open 9am til noon. Saturday's are hit or miss, some days you'll have noone come in and others you'll be packed between 11:30 and 12.

I would at least try to call them back during the week and see if they have anyone else that is a bit more knowledgable about their product.

I stopped by yesterday morning and Travis was at the doctor. I wanted to mention you again to him. I also wanted to see if they had my loader braces that was replaced with the BH subframe. The 6520 they had, had braces on it. I will stop by Friday morning and corner Travis to call you (if you left a phone # in your email) or to email you. Travis and Bill used to alternate Saturdays and sometimes Friday also. Many a Friday I stopped in to talk to Travis, only to hear he was at another fishing tournament. If you didn't leave a phone number, PM me and I will get it to him and make sure you get a call from him.
hugs, Brandi
