That is my other tractor - its a 1967 Holder AG3, 33hp two stroke diesel, full time 4 wheel drive articulated tractor. I aquired it from a family member about 5 years ago, who hadnt run it at all in 10-15 years. A little cleaning and new fluids and it runs great! I've never seen another one in the states. It was built in Germany. Its quite a machine and a lot of fun.

Hmm, never done that. Why would you? OTOH, Not sure why it would hurt it. Generally, my hoe's stronger than my tractor..

Hydraulic cylinders are prone to buckling when they are fully extended, like when your curled around a root. When you are curling the bucket the cylinder is protected by the pressure relief in the valve, but when the valve is in neutral postion the oil is traped in the ciruit. Driving the tractor forward can develop much higher force on the cylinder than it is rated for because the oil can't bleed over the relief.

I forgot exactly how I did it now, but I had my bucket wedged under a large root when the stump was just loose enough to "wiggle". The only way I could get the bucket "unstuck" was to drive the tractor forward.
My bypass valve must work real well, as the bucket yielded to the force of the 6520 going forward with no damage.
